GRAMMATICAL COHESION IN STUDENTS’ UNDERGRADUATE THESIS

The goals of this study were to find out the most dominant types grammatical cohesion used in undergraduate thesis belonged students program English language education at Hamzanwadi university by M.A.K Halliday’s theory. This was classified into descriptive qualitative research with discourse approach. author documentation form students’ for collecting data. There two kinds data taken, namely primary and secondary referred written learners eight semesters as their partial fulfilment task before having bachelor degree. that complete main showed line Creswell Poth theory which related examining thesis. finding revealed type reference appear 6149 times or 65, 29 % then conjunction found 3107 32, 99 %. Meanwhile, least substitution appeared 145 (1, 53%) ellipsis 16 (0, 16%).
